Coin ConneXion's single-user systems are (as the name implies) designed for one person to be using the system at a time. Our single-user systems can be installed on a network and accessed from any workstation, but only one person will be able to use the system at a time. Since our route-management systems include hundreds of functions, time on the computer may be in great demand. For large operations, getting everything accomplished by one person at a time may be virtually impossible. The solution is a multi-user system.
Coin ConneXion provides an extremely powerful network / multi-user version that is without equal in the industry. Our multi-user engine is very sophisticated and versatile, allowing many people using different workstations to work on the same task at the same time. For example, many people can report collections simultaneously. Multi-user versions are available for five (5), sixteen(16) or more simultaneous users.
Both file locking and record locking are provided. File locking prevents conflicting activities, and record locking provides the means, for example, for two people to be both updating the location information at the same time.
Coin ConneXion's multi-user engine works flawlessly with most of today's popular Windows-based networks, including workgroups and domains. For large companies, a dedicated file server running Small Business Server 2003 or later is recommended. Call for more information or recommendations.
