Collection Reporting

ezRoute provides two options for collection reporting. Collections can be reported either by category within a location (games did $X, pool tables did $Y, darts did $Z) or by individual machine.

Reporting Collections by Category in Location

Using this option, the system tracks revenue by income category in each location. Nine income categories are available (six commissionable and three general income categories) and are customized to each operator's unique requirements. As an example, an operator's income categories might include games, music, redemption, pool, darts, cranes, pro-shop, rent, and other.

Enter the gross amount collected for each income category, and the system automatically calculates sales taxes, net-to-divide, location commissions, and operator net. Location expenses can be tracked in 20 different operator-defined categories, 10 before the split, and 10 after the split.

Reporting Collections by Individual Machine

NOTE: With the Handheld Data Collection System, these activities are accomplished on-location with the handheld, thereby eliminating data entry in the office.

ezRoute's machine-by-machine collection reporting capabilities are extremely versatile. A few key features are listed below.

Collect all machines at a location, just one machine, or any selected machines within a location. Within a location, you can define the sequence in which machines are collected and printed on collection tickets. A machine may be skipped and collected by itself later.

The special collection-pending feature provides flexibility in handling machine moves between collections. A machine may be collected at the new location before the final collection is processed at the previous location.

All calculations for taxes, location commissions, location expenses, and third-party commissions are automatic. For individual machines, the system can track 20 different operator-defined expense categories: 10 before the split, and 10 after the split. Expense arrangements for product cost, rent, licenses, etc., may be automatic (set for calculation every collection), or keyed as needed.

All collections are keyed to proofing files. Balancing reports and location statements can be printed BEFORE posting. Correcting data entry errors for any collection is simple and straightforward. If errors are found after posting, the system provides reverse posting utilities for fixing the problem while maintaining data integrity.

ezRoute's unique total location commission feature allows you to calculate commissions based on the overall performance of the location IN ADDITION to per-machine calculations. Expenses may also be reported at the location level, preventing the distortion of individual machine earnings.

Whether by Location or by Machine...

  • Closing a year does not eliminate access to previous year's data. All collection history can be viewed and printed at any time.
  • Collection reporting is integrated with the optional CheckRiter program for printing commission checks.
  • 1099 printing is easy and flexible - print 1099s for only those locations you choose in any order you choose, and print even after commencing collection reporting in the following year.

Collection Tickets

ezRoute provides an extremely flexible program that enables you to design your own collection tickets. You tell the system whether you want your collection tickets to show previous meter readings, commission schedules, loan information, last collection information, and more than 50 other options. You can design and store as many different formats as you like (different collection tickets for different collectors or locations). We can also customize a collection ticket for you for a nominal charge.
