Coin ConneXion's capable and comprehensive CD jukebox management software provides tools for tracking CD inventory, printing title strips, and more. This system includes, free of charge, a music database including over 400,000 CDs and 800,000 song titles, provided courtesy of ATM Distributing. Updates of this database are available on the Internet free-of-charge or on diskette.
CD Inventory
Initially entering your CD inventory in the system is fast and easy using the ATM music database. There are three methods for identifying your CDs for recording their placement in jukeboxes:
- Using a barcode scanner, scan in the UPC number on the jewel case.
- Enter the first few letters of the last name of the artist and pick the CD out of a list.
- enter the first few letters of the title of the CD and pick the CD out of a list.
After identifying the CD, the system automatically fills in the UPC, artist, title, and classification. You can then fill in purchase information for the CD if you like. Tell the system what jukebox the CD is in (or pick the jukebox out of a list), enter the slot number (if desired), and the date placed, and you're ready to enter the next CD. The system can also store label code and disposition information.
Looking up CDs is easy - search or scroll through your CDs by location name or number, machine name or number, artist first or last name, title, UPC/Label code, etc. Making additional copies of CD information is also easy - press a key and the system will generate the number of copies requested. Press another key to find out how many of a particular CD you have in inventory.
The system tracks all CD moves and visually presents what CDs have been where and when. CD moves are very simple:
- Locate the CD you wish to install in a jukebox.
- Rotate it into a particular slot.
- The system automatically rotates the current resident of that slot out.
- The system asks where you would like to place it.
The system includes special utilities for moving a CD jukebox to a location, back to the warehouse, replacing a CD jukebox with another, or emptying a jukebox. The system automatically moves all 100 CDs in the jukebox.
CD play history can be manually entered or automatically downloaded from Rowe and NSM jukeboxes. The system tracks the date of each popularity data entry, the CD's popularity ranking, and number of plays. Total days at location, average rank, total number of plays, and average plays per day are also displayed.
CD Ordering System
The CD ordering system provides capabilities for tracking orders and automatically updates the CD inventory on their receipt. The ordering system also uses the ATM database to speed the process. In addition, orders can be placed using current popularity charts that are included with the other ATM databases. The system will track CD order information including vendor, purchase cost, shipment method, number ordered for stock and number of location requests received. Electronic orders can also be generated for immediate transmittal to reduce the ordering cycle time and paperwork associated with manual ordering.
When the order is received, press one button and the system automatically creates the CD records, which are immediately available for placement in machines. The system will also automatically schedule the location requests, and move request forms can be printed.
Title Strip Printing / Song Title Search
Customized title strip printing functions are included with the system. With the ATM database, this process is as simple as locating the CD you need a title strip for, and printing - no more typing in song titles! Another benefit of having all the song titles loaded is the ability to search for a song title. Enter a few letters of any song title, and the system will present a list of the closest matches. When the proper song is selected, the system displays the artist, title of the CD, track number of the song, and a list of the other tracks on the CD.
