The standard version is $300 less than the 7600, and the wi-fi version is $355 less than a comparable 7600.
The purchase of a new Dolphin 6100 handheld (or an existing Dolphin 7600) includes the software license for the mobile collections program that resides on the handheld. The license for handheld software on the PC side (integrated with ezRoute Pro 10.0) also includes setup, installation, and initial loading of the handheld, as well as a collector’s guide (in book form) and a tutorial movies CD for the collectors to assist them in learning to use the handheld.
Three new applications are available for both Dolphin 6100 and Dolphin 7600 handhelds: service calls management, product inventory control, and 802.11g (wi-fi) / remote wand file transfer.
Honeywell announced the retirement of the Dolphin 7600 GEN I Windows CE. Product will no longer ship after January 1, 2011.
Honeywell will continue to providing parts, service, and support for existing Dolphin 7600 units until January 1, 2016. Coin ConneXion will also continue to support them for the same time period.
The product inventory control is based on item numbers that have been setup in the parts inventory system, where warehouse-to-truck tracking already takes place. Truck-to-machine tracking is included in the new module in amusement collections reporting. If you have already licensed the optional parts inventory control module, you will be able to add product inventory tracking in amusement collections right away. If not, you will need to purchase the license for that optional module, and setup the item number files in warehouses before being able to add those products to machines.
We plan to begin shipping upgrades by September 30, 2010, with installation appointments beginning in early October 2010. To ensure a smooth transition, we will coordinate the upgrade installation with handheld setup and training for clients purchasing both the upgrade and new Dolphin 6100 handhelds.
ezRoute Pro 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, and 9.0 will work on Windows® XP and Windows® 2000. If you are currently on an earlier version, please call our Sales Department to inquire about an upgrade.
ezRoute Pro 7.0, 8.0, and 9.0 have been tested and does run with Windows® Vista (32-bit version). Make sure the computers in the workgroup can communicate properly before trying to network ezRoute Pro using a Vista computer.
ezRoute Pro is fully network compatible. The single-user version may be installed on a network, but is limited to one user at a time. To achieve true multi-user capability with record locking, purchase the multi-user engine option. Multiple users may even do the same function simultaneously, such as keying collections. Dedicated Windows®-based server software is recommended for large companies with many workstations. We will be glad to review your network specifications and make further recommendations.
We recommend computers with Intel processors of 1 GHz (or greater) and 128MB (or greater) RAM, running Windows XP Professional operating system, with at least 2GB of free hard drive space (the initial installation requires about 500MB total space).
ezRoute Pro is 100% Windows-compatible. It is written using the Java development language from Sun Microsystems, and its menus, report generator, and executive displays are GUI (mouse-driven).
